The Hose Safety Institute brings manufacturers and distributors together to develop standards for hose assembly and fabrication that are safe for customers as well as the environment. As an industry leader, we have proudly contributed to the development, implementation and marketing of the Hose Safety Institute.
While not only a participant, I served as NAHAD’s president in 2010 and currently volunteer on the Hose Safety Institute Standards committee. Our continuous partnership with NAHAD exhibits our commitment and support to the work done at the Hose Safety Institute.
Setting the Standard
Members who follow these guidelines can provide a roadmap of fabrication and specification excellence to your team and customers. Specifically, for TIPCO, every sales and fabrication personnel is required to pass Hose Safety Institute testing. Upon successful completion, employees and employers receive a verification certificate.
Once each team member passes the online test, they are given a certificate that comes with the trust and promise that our team will provide “best in class” performance; which includes training, education and documentation. The Hose Safety Institute further supports our philosophy of providing world class products designed for safe and reliable use.
Not only does the Hose Safety Institute provide standards for training, education and documentation; it also focuses on fabrication, testing, shipping, receiving and audit protocol. We utilize the specifications on quotes and order entry to ensure quality and safety is promoted while also formalizing our processes and procedures.
