In the world of material transfer systems there are two main ways to get materials from point “A” to point “B”, either via a mechanical system (conveyors, tracks, belts) or through a pneumatic system. Pneumatic systems offer several benefits for conveying materials, and the design of these systems are largely dependent on the type of materials being transferred. However, if you’ve already decided that a pneumatic material transfer system (or troubleshooting one for any reason) is the one for you, pneumatic conveying systems operate in one of two different transfer modes, dilute or dense phase.

NAHAD’s Hose Safety Institute is proud to announce the newest version of the Handbook for the Design and Specification of Hose Assemblies! A small team composed of both Distributors and Manufacturers spent grueling hours hammering out the changes which were then approved by the Standards Committee. The resulting Handbook provides content more focused on Distributor needs and reflects even more consensus on best practices than ever before.

NAHAD recently hosted its 34th Annual Meeting & Convention at the JW Marriott in Marco Island, Florida. In addition to offering attendees white sand beaches with breathtaking sunsets overlooking the Gulf, this year’s Convention also served up some changes to the program to meet the changing demands of NAHAD attendees.
